Here Come The Girls

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

So a note from Nicky and I, we have been here now for almost three weeks!! Feels like longer… only joking! It has flown by and hopefully we have adjusted quite well into the Just Say Please team.  There is a picture of us if you ever wanted to know what we look like, Sophie’s the funny looking one! Will probably get to know everyone in due course so look forward to speaking to you all.

Kind Regards

Sophie and Nicola

monday-tights2.jpgBobbie suggested that I put up some pitures of the tights I wear in the office. All are from tightsplease, of course! My avatar pic shows my current fav’s - purple spider webs. The zebra print footless with lace up knee highs worn over the top got quite a few looks on the morning train ride!

                                                           Best New Agent 2007

Holidaysplease awards cabinet is fast growing out of space.  Director Richard Dixon was once again asked to pick up “Best New Agent 2007″ for the fourth time this year. The awards night was held by Elite Vacations in London - not quite Tenerife, but Richard had a great time anyway (see above).

Holidaysplease won the award due to their outstanding contribution to Elite Sales to luxury destinations such as Seychelles, Mauritius, the Maldives and Africa.

Well done Holidaysplease! x

Electric Giraffe

Wednesday, February 6th, 2008

Hi! My name’s Russell and I’m one of the Just Say Please programmers. When I’m not working on the latest new features for the Just Say Please websites, I spend my free time helping my friend with his project: The Electric Giraffe.

The Electric Giraffe, (also called Russell!) is a giant robotic giraffe built by my good friend Lindz at his home in San Diego, California. He stands 14′ tall, weighs over a ton, and is a true walking robot. His spots are plexiglass panels lit with computer controlled red/green/blue LEDs. There are almost 1,000 LEDs in total.

The Electric Giraffe

The Raffe is constantly under development, and in April/May 2008 I will be heading back to California for the Maker Faire, where the Raffe will be appearing.

Calm Please!

The storms on Thurday have completely destroyed our nice new greenhouse. We checked the local weather forecast and saw more bad weather on the way, so we took the remaining the glass out in preparation. It’s looking quite sad now.
